As you see from above, Chris has been listening to music from an early age!! Thanks to Dad for this pic!!! Technology has changed a bit since then, but Chris's passion is as strong as ever.
Chris Laich's love for music began at age 13 when he began listening to The Cure, New Order, and Def Leppard; but it wasn't until college that he began to DJ professionally. Chris began DJing in 1990 and while he spent the beginning of his career working for others to learn the trade, he began noticing things he thought his employers could have done better to make their events more distinctive, eloquent and tasteful. Thus, in 1998, he ventured out on his own determined to change the industry one wedding at a time.
He now wows his clients with his unsurpassed Wedding knowledge, professional demeanor, hip and impeccable taste, and of course his distinguished performing skills.
Chris’s clients speak generously of his originality, passion, peerless wedding knowledge, attention to detail, song selection, ingenious mixing, flawless execution and incomparable flexibility.
He brings a unique mixing style to his events with the way his creative sets are put together. Whether he is playing some Stevie Wonder, Aretha, Michael, Journey, Prince, Biggie, Beyonce or Jason Aldean, the mixes and transitions will impress guests of all ages.
But it’s not just his clients who are raving. Washingtonian Magazine most recently listed Chris as a Top Wedding DJ in DC for 12 years straight. Modern Bride Magazine also cited Chris’s ability to set a new standard for excellence and listed him as one of the "Top Wedding DJs in the country".
Chris has become a phenomenal success in the Washington area and every week he can be found at some of Washington's most prominent locations -- Meadowlark Gardens, Woodend, The Hay Adams, The Fairmont, Hotel Monaco, Museum for Women in the Arts, Meridian House, District Winery, Rust Manor, Congressional Country Club among others.
