Chris Laich Music DJ Set-up, Army Navy Club Ceremony

Wednesday, October 1st, 2014

One of our favorite Northern Virginia venues is the Army Navy Country Club.  It is absolutely gorgeous and our team at Chris Laich Music Services always looks forward to our weddings there.

We love the inside and outside event spaces.  We were there recently and provided music services for the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner and dancing.  With the different spaces we are always prepared to provide music throughout.  Our bose wireless speakers are perfect to provide ample sound and coverage throughout the event!

Here are some photos from a recent wedding of our set-up:

Real Wedding, Alexandra and Carter at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens

Wednesday, September 10th, 2014

Earlier this summer we had the pleasure to work with one of the sweetest couples for their Virginia wedding at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens.  Alexandra and Carter had a wedding filled with joy!  It was wonderful to work with Katie DeLorme Photography, the photos are absolutely stunning from this wedding and we couldn’t wait to share them!  The staff at Meadowlark did an amazing job, and we could just tell that all of Alexandra and Carter’s guests were having the best day ever.

Alexandra and Carter each started the day getting ready with their wedding party and family.

We love how they set-up the ceremony outside at Meadowlark.  They chose the song “Begin Again by” for the Bridesmaids and “A Thousand Years” for Bride Alexandra and her Father.  For their recessional, we played “Forever”

Additional photos of the wedding party and reception details were taken after the ceremony, we love the simple and elegant style of this wedding party!

To start the reception, we introduced the wedding party and then Alexandra and Carter danced their first dance as Husband and Wife to “The Only Exception by Paramore”.

Alexandra’s parents then gave a welcome and toast before dinner.  After dinner, we heard toasts from the Maid of Honor and Best Man.

To open the dance floor, Alexandra and Carter each danced with their parents and then all were welcomed to dance.  Alexandra and her Father danced to “Can You Feel the Love Tonight by Elton John”.  Carter and his Mother danced to “Songbird by Fleetwood Mac”.

Later in the evening, Alexandra and Carter cut their wedding cake to “Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat”, delicious cupcakes were also served to guests.

After the bouquet and garter toss, the dance party continued for the remainder of the evening!

Congrats again to Alexandra and Carter!  We hope you’re enjoying newlywed life!

Happy Anniversary Shannon and Jeff

Wednesday, July 16th, 2014

It was a true pleasure to work with Shannon and Jeff for their wedding last year at The Hotel Washington.  Shannon is not only one of the most resilient and courageous brides we’ve worked with, she is truly beautiful inside and out.  This amazing wedding was photographed by The Observatory and planned by Bella Notte , see the full vendor list below.  Shannon and Jeff’s story is one of strength and love and is truly inspiring.  Their wedding was featured this past Spring on ABC News and Style Me Pretty, from Style Me Pretty: “We’ve had our share of lovely brides that have graced the pages of SMP, but perhaps none as fiercely beautiful and inspiring as this one. She’s reminded us that the true beauty behind a wedding is in the love and strength two people can give one another—not the dress, shoes, makeup or even hair can shine as bright. After being diagnosed with cancer nine months into planning her wedding, this sweet bride chose to stand strong, hair or no hair, and marry her handsome Marine.”

Here’s the latest from Engaged! Magazine: Introducing Debrajean Overholt

Debrajean Overholt
When she was Director of Catering at the Ritz-Carlton Washington DC for 25 years, Debrajean Overholt’s unofficial title was “Queen of Weddings.” In addition to producing events for top corporations, embassies, associations, heads of state, celebrities and political parties, Debrajean orchestrated both grand and intimate weddings. While the luxury Ritz-Carlton brand was – and still is! – the impetus for DC brides and mothers of the bride who want the best of the best, Debrajean was often the first call after an engagement because she knew her clients as family and they were confident they would be in the best of hands with her.
Now, as owner of Debrajean Overholt Event Design, she continues to be the go-to planner for weddings in DC and beyond planned with finesse and style – but always staying cool, calm and collected.  She is the mother’s confidant, the father’s savior, and the bride and groom’s best friend.   By the end of the nuptials, Debrajean is part of the family.  Introducing Who’s Who of Wedding Planners,Debrajean Overholt…
