Old Ebbitt Grill has been a part of Washington, DC since 1856!
Its original location somewhere near Chinatown is long gone, but its current location in the Beaux-Arts building on 15th Street retains its DC landmark character. Known as a great place for dinner, drinks, or to enjoy oysters, Old Ebbitt Grill is also a great place for an event, offering several areas that can accommodate a private celebration, including a rooftop terrace and an atrium.
With a high ceiling, wall-to-wall marble floors, a scattering of palm trees and large central fountain, the Atrium is an impressive space. However, the very things that make it beautiful add to the challenge of getting sound just right. Arranging things so every song and speech is heard clearly without getting lost in the ambient sound takes experience and quality equipment. Fortunately, Chris Laich Music Services has both. Recently, we were at Old Ebbitt Grill for an event, and took a moment to take a couple pictures (see below) of our wireless Bose speakers set up in the Atrium before getting to work!
