Metropolitan Club Washington DC – DJ Set Up

Founded in 1863, the Metropolitan Club in DC is a private institution right near Dupont Circle. What makes it unusual as a wedding venue is not its elegant façade or gracious rooms, but that it can be used by members of the Metropolitan Club alone.

Chris Laich Music Services is fortunate to have deejayed several weddings there throughout the years, and every time feels like a special treat! In June, our clients Sara and Charles celebrated their wedding at the Metropolitan Club. To preserve the elegance of the space and still provide the kind of sound that gets guests dancing, we brought along our wireless Bose speakers, carefully placing them for optimum performance in the space.

Mandarin Oriental DC – Dj Set Up

As a DC wedding venue, the unique ambiance, talented staff, and award-wining food at the Mandarin Oriental easily place it at the top.

Deejaying weddings at the Mandarin is always a great experience because of its talented event and catering team. Plus the hotel has such a sophisticated, chic vibe, it’s hard not to feel as though special things happen there!

Though the Mandarin’s ballroom is amazing on its own, couples often use lighting effects to add to the drama. When setting up our equipment and Bose wireless speakers, we’re careful to coordinate with the lighting or design element team. Our goal is always to ensure excellent sound…and preserve our client’s vision of what their day should look like. Bolger Center Wedding – DJ Set Up

Nestled in Potomac, Maryland, the Bolger Center is an event venue and wedding weekend retreat all rolled into one.

With handsome grounds, an on-site hotel and a choice of two spacious, modern ballrooms, one of which has a spectacular stained glass wall, the Bolger Center offers a lot to couples looking for a unique place to celebrate.

Between the high ceilings and square footage, calibration is key. Spacing equipment too far apart or too close together can spell disaster from both aesthetic and sound points of view. By placing our Bose wireless speakers at just the right intervals, we’re able to meet our standard of professional and customer experience excellence.

Newseum – Wedding DJ Set Up

Sleek, modern, and very cool, the Newseum is a unique wedding venue sure to keep guests talking long after the celebration!

Sitting at Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street, the Newseum is in the heart of the city, offers incredible views of DC landmarks like the Capitol, and boasts Wolfgang Puck as its in-house caterer. At the Newseum, there’s no shortage of options. From fantastic outdoor terraces perfect for a top of the city ceremony to a variety of indoor spaces, this venue has it all. One of our favorite aspects is the incredible events staff who always make being a part of a wedding team at the Newseum a pleasure.

With its high ceilings and glass, the Newseum presents a few sound challenges, but those are easily overcome using our Bose wireless speakers and years of expertise. Belle Haven – Wedding DJ Equipment Set Up

Couples who celebrate their wedding at Belle Haven get all the grandeur of a historic DC venue plus picturesque views including the Potomac River.

Belle Haven Country Club’s large ballroom and adjacent outdoor balcony are perfect for a wedding reception. Enjoying cocktails outside while taking in the scenery is a great way to kick off a celebration. Plus, with Belle Haven’s amazing event manager, Nicole, any wedding or special event is sure to be fantastic!

Providing stellar sound and a great soundtrack during al fresco cocktails and an indoor reception while staying invisible can be a challenge. But with the help of our wireless Bose speakers and years of experience at the venue, we’re able to do all three!

Decatur House – DJ Equipment Set Up

When it comes to historic wedding venues in DC, you can’t get much closer to the White House than Decatur House!

Sitting right on a corner of Lafayette Square, this 1818 building was the first private residence built in the neighborhood and is now a museum, educational, research and event site.

Decatur House hosts weddings using a combination of its handsome parlors, elegant courtyard and modern Carriage House. With so many variables in terms of size and acoustics, when deejaying weddings at Decatur, it’s best to come prepared for anything.

As always, maintaining a venue’s charm while still delivering the highest quality of sound is our priority. That’s where our wireless Bose speakers combined with our experience at Decatur come in handy!

Finding the right venue in Washington, DC can be tricky, if only because there’s so many to choose from! Over the years, we’d be willing to bet that we’ve deejayed at most wedding sites in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Wedding at Meadowlark Gardens – Hilary & Garth

Hilary and Garth planned their wedding at Meadowlark Gardens all the way from Utah. Organizing a wedding is never easy, but doing it from across the country…we feel tired just thinking about it!

After all that work, on their December 4 wedding day, Hilary and Garth were more than ready to celebrate! Following their cocktail hour, the bridal party was announced to The Cure’s “Just like Heaven,” while the couple waited their turn in the wings.

Before they knew it, Hilary and Garth were center stage dancing to Shania Twain’s “Still the One” as husband and wife. Once the dinner plates were cleared, everyone flooded the dance floor for a huge dance party! To keep the crowd going, we played tracks from Glenn Miller, Otis Knight, ABBA, Madonna, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, Usher, and Pink.

Wedding at Halcyon House – Kevin & Melissa

You’ve seen the images of our DJ equipment set up for weddings at the Halcyon House, but there’s nothing like pictures from a pro to show off a space. Thanks to Michelle Lindsay, we’ve got some to share!

Starting with a beautiful ceremony in the garden, Kevin and Melissa’s wedding at the Halcyon House was gorgeous. After the couple said ‘I do,’ their guests enjoyed cocktails in the garden before marking their way inside for the reception in the house.

Everyone knew it was going to be an awesome night when the bridal party was introduced to the theme from Superman!

Once we played the last songs of the night ( “Beautiful World” by Colin Hay and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”), the crowd wasn’t ready to call it a night. Luckily, Melissa and Kevin knew their friends and family would want to keep celebrating, so the couple had organized an after party at Georgetown hot spot Mie N Yu, where we’re sure they shut the place down!
