This year’s Washingtonian Best Of Party was the first Chris Laich Music Services deejayed, and it was amazing. Though it was last week, we still can’t stop talking about it.

Once again, Aimee Dominick and her team at A. Dominick Events did a spectacular job. The National Building Museum’s uplighting, layout and vibe looked incredible and the behind the scenes organization was impeccable.

As usual, the event was sold out, so a huge crowd showed up ready to have a great time, and they weren’t disappointed. Incredible food and drink from our city’s top restaurants (including Bourbon Steak and Citronelle) were plentiful and we mixed in some awesome music – it was a killer event!

The 2011 Washingtonian Best Of Party is this Wednesday, and we’re proud to say that Chris Laich Music Services will be there deejaying!
If you came to this event last year, you know it was an incredible party, and we’re sure this summer’s party will be no different.

It’s that time of year again…for the Washingtonian Best Of Happy Hour in Bethesda, Wednesday, June 29, 6-8:30pm!
This cocktail party is unlike any other. Not only is the entirety of Bethesda Row blocked off, with free food and drinks, but you’ll also be able to buy discounted tickets to arguably the biggest Washingtonian event of the year – their Best Of Party at the National Building Museum on July 13.
Did we mention that the Washingtonian has awarded us with the distinction of providing the music for the whole party?

WOW! 2010 is ending with a bang!
First is was “Top Vote Getter” for 2010 in the music, DJ and entertainment category in Washington Bride and Groom, and now we’ve been awarded the 2011 “Best of Weddings” in the DC area by The Knot?
It’s such a huge honor to be selected as one of the best DJs in Washington DC by The Knot. Almost like winning an Oscar, except it’s the couples who we’ve worked with, instead of the Academy we have to thank. We demand more from ourselves than any bride ever could and it pays off.
So, a HUGE, heartfelt thank you to all our fantastic clients for leaving such amazing positive testimonials on The Knot!
We are looking forward to see what spectacular things 2011 holds!!
We had the best time at the Washingtonian Best Of Happy Hour at Redwood restaurant on Bethesda Row in downtown Bethesda. When Jan Haber at the Washingtonian invited invited us to participate, I knew it was going to be a blast, and I am so appreciative of the opportunity to be a part of it!
Since it was an outdoor event, we ran 8 of our wireless Bose speakers all around the space, and the sound was amazing!
I spun all kinds of music to create a block party feel! I was keeping everything right on beat and put together some great sets including the new Katy Perry f. Snoop, Journey, Prince, Jay- Z, Madonna, some B.O.B., Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, old-school Shaggy, Taio Cruz, a club mix of Living on a Prayer as well as the new Lady Gaga. All over the board!
The party was packed! I ran into a few wedding folks, including Allison Britton, Aimee Otto, and Brian Childs. The event would not have been complete with a guest appearance from the super-fab Jill Hudson Neal herself! It was so nice to see her albeit for about a minute.
One of the best parts of the night was the cupcakes my great friend Leslie, from Fancy Cakes by Leslie, gave me for my kids! Her shop is right there on Bethesda Ave., facing into Bethesda Row. Of course, we ate them in no time – there is NO wonder why she’s been voted the best in town for so many years. Her talent, passion, and dedication to her craft reveals itself in every product she produces!
After I was done deejaying, we had a delicious dinner at Redwood. I spoke with the owner, Jared Rager, prior to the event and he was very accommodating. Jared owns two more places in DC, Sonoma and Blue Ridge. He’s a local guy, and I love that Redwood sources almost everything on its menu from local organic farmers and focuses on environmentally sustainable choices.
Thanks to everyone for making it such a fantastic event!
The LUNGevity Foundation was founded to increase research on the treatment of lung cancer, and on November 15th it held Breathe Deep DC at the National Mall, hosted by Brett Haber, WUSA9 Sports Director, and Tommy McFly of MIX 107.3 FM.
Participants arrived in the morning for a walkathon, followed in the afternoon by an event in the Sylvan Theater with music (which we were honored to provide) and activities for kids.
Hosted by Chef José Andrés, Chef Anthony Bourdain, and Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis, the Capital Food Fight “brings the food industry’s best talent together to support DC Central Kitchen’s unique brand of community empowerment. Dozens of hot restaurants serve signature dishes to guests while top chefs battle on-stage.”
As fans of Top Chef and Iron Chef, it was both exciting and an honor to be a part of an event benefiting a charity with such a strong and progressive focus on building a better community.
