The Details
Being a DJ isn’t just about having a lot of music and a sound system. It’s about knowing the people you are with and feeling the energy in the room. Knowing what song to play and when to play it can transform an event and take it to another level.
A typical Chris Laich event will have a cocktail hour and dinner featuring a variety of wedding standards, from classics by Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James to more recent offerings by Van Morrison, Eva Cassidy, and Jack Johnson. When it’s time to dance, the DJ will smoothly shift from the soft sounds played at dinner to an upbeat mix of songs guaranteed to appeal to everyone in the crowd; including standards, Motown classics, ‘70s dance, ‘80s rock/pop, ‘90s dance, right up into the new Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, and Beyonce of today. It truly is something for everyone. Please note that every wedding they do is unique in it’s own way. Every bride and groom has the option to choose as much music as they would like!
Below are two sample music lists; please note these are only suggestions:

This is a list of more upbeat music you may choose from for general dancing.
First Dance and Parent Dances
This list offers some suggestions for First Dances, Father/Daughter Dances and Mother/Son Dances.
While the Chris Laich music collection covers thousands of songs and spans all popular music of the last 70 years, the DJ will ultimately play what you want to hear. If you’re not sure what music you want played, Chris and his associates will be happy to help you pick the music that’s right for you and your event.
