Wedding at the National Museum for Women in the Arts – Diana and Carlos

Music is a big part of any wedding, but for Diana and Carlos’s celebration at the National Museum for Women in the Arts, it was especially so.

During cocktails, a mariachi band (of which Carlos’s brother was a part!) serenaded everyone! Then, for their first dance, the newlyweds swayed to Ray LaMontagne’s beautiful love ballad, “Hold You in My Arms.” Next, Carlos and his mom danced to an original composition, called “Amor Sin Fin” that the mother of the groom created for Ricardo Castillon!

Finally, a classic Tarantella-inspired number got everyone on the dance floor, after which DJ Aaron played a fantastic mix of music and kept the floor moving all night long. That is until it was time to Diana and Carlos’s send off with Katie Perry’s “Firework” as a soundtrack!

Park Hyatt Washington DC – Wedding DJ Equipment Set Up

We love deejaying weddings at the Park Hyatt in Washington, DC!

Not only is working with their Director of Catering, Michael Deltette, a joy, but the Hyatt’s recently remodeled space is spectacular. Modern yet warm, and very chic.

As always, when Chris Laich Music Services is part of a couple’s wedding day vendor team, their happiness takes precedence. This means that the music should be on-point, the sound perfect, and that we do our part to ensure their wedding day is as they imagined. Which means finding just the right spots to place our equipment and wireless Bose speakers.

The Park Hyatt Washington, DC has such killer ambiance that between our experience and quality equipment, you can barely spot our speakers in the ballroom and cocktail area. In some of the shots below, it’s almost as if they’ve disappeared completely:

Wedding at the Four Seasons Georgetown – Rea and Emmett

Tina Nader of the Four Seasons did an incredible job managing their whole night, and Aaron had so much fun deejaying, that it was hard for everyone to let the evening end. But, the great news is that their photographer, Michelle Frankfurter, did a superb (as always) job documenting their wedding…and memorable Soul Train moment!

Wedding at the Carnegie Institute – Rachel and Shlomo

Rachel and Shlomo’s wedding at the Carnegie Institute in DC was one gracious, elegant affair!

Live musicians played as guests arrived and continued into the cocktail hour. Following a beautiful ceremony (more pictures of it taking place in the Carnegie’s rotunda at Paired Images), everyone gathered in the ballroom for Rachel and Shlomo’s reception.

There, the father of the bride gave a wonderful welcome speech, followed by some really great toasts. By the time Rachel and Shlomo took to the floor to Sade’s “By Your Side,” the love in the air was palpable! Later on, everyone took to the dance floor, which kept moving all night!

Strong Mansion – Wedding and Ceremony DJ Equipment Set Up

Strong Mansion is one of the most romantic wedding venues in the Washington, DC area. (If you want to see what we mean, check out Dominique and Tony’s wedding, which was featured on United With Love.)

Mr. Strong, who built it in 1915, once said, “…those who appreciate natural beauty will be better people, people who treat each other better.” The property reflects the original owner’s philosophy with lush gardens and an elegant home, and, as wedding deejays, the last thing we want to do is take away from all that beauty!

However, it’s also important to give our couples the experience they expect – no one should strain to hear the bride and groom exchange vows, nor should anyone discover they can’t hear a thing because they are seated near a speaker.

So, using our experience at Strong Mansion and expertise, we strategically place our wireless Bose speakers in the home’s gracious rooms and lovely gardens. All to create the highest quality of sound without affecting ambiance, as you can see from the images below!

Wedding at the Top of the Hay – Liz and Andras

Liz and Andras celebrated their marriage at the always amazing Top of the Hay, and what a party it was! From their beautiful ceremony at St. Matthew’s to the dance floor that never stopped, it was an incredible, memorable night.

Aaron was the lucky Chris Laich Music Services Associate to deejay, and there to capture every moment was the amazing team from Holland Photo Arts. The spectacular flowers were by talented Philippa Tarrant, delectable cake by Kendall’s Cakes, and who else but Jamie from Simply Chic Events helped Liz and Andras plan it all.

Belmont Country Cub – Outdoor Ceremony DJ Set Up

Belmont Country Club’s scenic grounds lend themselves to an outdoor wedding ceremony, especially right in front of the historic manor house. In such a gorgeous setting, the last thing you’d want to see is a giant speaker! Which is one of the reasons we always use our easy-to-miss Bose wireless speakers. Another, of course, is their unparalleled sound.

Wedding at the W Hotel – Sarah and Manetho

From start to finish, Sarah and Manetho’s wedding at the W Hotel was as memorable, fun and awesome as they are.

After cocktails on the terrace (where we provided a little audio ambiance) everyone was ready to help the elated couple celebrate. So, when Sarah and Manetho took the floor for their first dance to Good Life by One Republic, everyone was beaming.

The rest of the night was a blast! Documentary Associates brought their awesome Portrait Station (along with their always on point skills), and we spun songs as joyful as the crowd.

As usual, the W Hotel’s on site ace coordinator, Sarah Peterman was great to work with, and, as you can see, Documentary Associates captured Sarah and Manetho’s wedding day beautifully.

Junior League of Washington Tossed & Found Event

Held at the Crystal City Shops, the Junior League of Washington’s Tossed & Found Sale is great opportunity to pick up some great pre-owned jewelry, furniture and designer duds at stellar prices while benefitting charity.

2012’s event starts this Friday night (March 24th) with the Hoops & High Heels Preview Night, where we’ll be there providing the audio ambiance while everyone enjoys cocktails, canapés and gets their pre-shop on.

We’d love to see you there!

If you can’t make the preview night, you’ve got all weekend to shop. Tossed & Found will be open both Saturday March 24 and Sunday March 25 starting at 9:00am. For more details, visit the Junior League of Washington.

Turf Valley – Wedding DJ Set Up

Though now a gorgeous resort and luxury hotel, Turf Valley was once a thoroughbred horse farm.

Turf Valley shows its thoroughbred horse farm roots in its gorgeous setting. With 1000 acres of grounds and championship golf courses, Turf Valley offers a picturesque setting for a wedding!

Many of the weddings we’ve deejayed at Turf Valley have outdoor ceremonies, and the challenge is always placing our Bose wireless speakers both discreetly and for maximum effect. Every single one of the guests should be able to hear your cousin’s beautiful reading as well as the moment you exchange “I do’s.” That’s where our experience comes in handy.

As you can see in the images below, our speakers blend in with the gorgeous willow trees, yet are close enough so that guests could hear every word!
