Last week, we shared Kristen and Patrick’s beautiful wedding at theHistoric Whitehall Manor, which is one of our favorite indoor/outdoor settings to plan a wedding. Whitehall Manor is “rich in history and located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains on a 50 acre estate with spectacular views and a canopy of century old trees all surrounding a 200 year old manor house.” Our team at Chris Laich Music Services always looks forward to our weddings at Whitehall Manor.
Whitehall Manor is the quintessential destination for weddings in Northern Virginia with the close proximity to DC and located in the Virginia Winery region with a variety of hotels and bed & breakfasts. It is such an elegant setting for weddings outside and indoors. In fact, because weather can be unpredictable Whitehall has a versatile indoor backup plan in the event that your wedding can not be outside, and they allow couples to decide the day-of. We are always prepared to make any last minute changes which is why we always bring our Bose wireless speakers for ample volume and sound anywhere!
Here are some photos from Kristen and Patrick’s wedding, it was a lovely day so we were able to have the ceremony outside and then had their reception inside the ballroom, here are a few pictures we took of our set-up.

Happy Wedding Wednesday folks! Our “Pin of the Week” idea is this Chalkboard Wedding Program. Instead of individual programs, consider creating one large program, which would save paper, and is a beautiful way to present your wedding ceremony.

Sharing one of our favorite 2013 weddings today, which was featured on Southern Weddings by Rachel May Photography. Kristen and Patrick’s wedding at the beautiful Historic Whitehall Manor in Northern Virginia was such a wonderful celebration. Filled with lovely peonies and garden flowers, officiated by Kristen’s Uncle and complete with a groom’s cake and food truck! We had a blast and are so happy to have been a part of Kristen and Patrick’s wedding!
See the full feature on Southern Weddings, here are some of our favorite highlights!

Living in the Washington, DC area, we are so lucky to have nearby vineyards available for weekend day trips and weddings! One of our favorite vineyards to host a wedding is Bluemont Vineyard in Northern Virginia. Nestled in the heart of the Northern VA Wine Region, the Bluemont Vineyard farm winery is a stunning location. The event space is perfect for large and small affairs; our team at Chris Laich Music Services always looks forward to our weddings at Bluemont Vineyard.
Bluemont Vineyard’s wedding barn venue is one of the largest vineyard wedding and event venues in the area. “The Stable boasts an amazing view of the Loudoun Valley with a temperature controlled reception space and stone like floor. The classic pole barn style, paper lantern accents and aged barn beams provide a rustic backdrop for each client’s decor. The Bridal Suite is a serene space to prepare for a grand entrance to the lawn for spectactual ceremonies while the lantern lined veranda nicely accommodates cocktails with a view.” If you are looking for a rustic elegant setting, we highly recommend Bluemont Vineyard!
Like with any beautiful setting, the last thing you want are giant speakers and wires to take away from the atmosphere. Also, due to the barn size, we always bring our Bose wireless speakers for ample volume and sound throughout the evening’s festivities. We were there recently for a wedding and took a picture to show we set-up the barn!

Happy Wedding Wednesday folks! We are starting a new series called “Pin of the Week” – to share great ideas from wedding style, attire and crafts. Here is this week’s idea! Instead of a guest book, have friends and family sign a wine bottle for your rehearsal dinner (or wedding with multiple wine bottles). This would work well for vineyard locations or using a favorite wine/champagne.

Many couples in DC, MD and VA opt for beautiful outdoor locations for their wedding. Our team at Chris Laich Music Services has had the pleasure to work with couples getting marred at Greenwell State Park’s Rosedale Manor! ”Located in the heart of Southern Maryland and nestled high on the banks of the Patuxent River, Greenwell State Park covers nearly 600 acres of woods and parkland…Historic Rosedale Manor and the adjoining Rose Garden make a beautiful setting for your wedding with breathtaking waterfront views.” It provides such a picturesque setting for your outdoor wedding.
Outdoor locations don’t always have ample outlets needed for most DJ set-ups. Which is why we always bring our wireless Bose speakers to provide ample sound and coverage in any outdoor area. We were there recently for a wedding and took pictures to show we set-up for the cocktail hour and reception!
