Thomas Birkby House – Wedding DJ Set Up

On the edge of historic Leesburg, VA sits the Thomas Birkby House. Upon entering its charming rooms, terrace, white gazebo and lovely gardens, you feel you’ve entered a more gracious time.

That, along with the fact that the Thomas Birkby House can accommodate up to 175 guests, makes it a really wonderful wedding venue.
Historic outdoor spaces are often a challenge when it comes to setting up wedding DJ equipment.  But striking the balance of sound and aesthetic while making sure your guests hear every vow and dance to every song is something we do best!

Chelsea & Nick Featured in Perfect Wedding Guide!

When you pick up the newest issue of Perfect Wedding Guide, flip to the wedding spotlight…and you’ll see Chelsea and Nick!

We shared a few shots of their awesome wedding at Potomac Point Winery where the newlyweds smashed grapes a la I Love Lucy and their guests danced all night long. Now more details (like who created Chelsea’s gorgeous bouquet) can be found in Perfect Wedding Guide.

This is exciting for many reasons, but the first (and biggest) is getting the chance to see more pictures of their wedding day. We’re so focused on deejaying that we often miss all the details couples incorporate into their day. The second, of course, is having one our wonderful clients featured in Washington DC’s premier wedding magazine!

2012 Sparkle Lounge!

After a busy holiday season, the Ronald Reagan Building’s annual Sparkle Lounge is a welcome opportunity to catch up with wedding industry friends. There’s nothing like good conversation and enjoying a cocktail in such a spectacular space!

This year, though, Chris Laich Music Services will be doing less schmoozing and more spinning! We’re proud (and thrilled) to provide the soundtrack to what is sure to be a wonderful evening for DC’s wedding professionals.

Trump National Golf Club, Virginia – Wedding DJ Set Up

Trump National Golf Club has all the ingredients you need for a gracious wedding – acres of gorgeous landscape, beautiful views and an elegant clubhouse.

The ten (yes, we counted) crystal chandeliers in the club’s stately ballroom are beautiful and really add to an event’s ambiance. How do we know this? Chris Laich Music Services recently provided wedding DJ services there for one of our wonderful clients!

Plus, we’ve been at the Trump National Golf Club as event vendors before. This time, we snapped a few pictures depicting the placement of our wireless Bose speakers. Keeping equipment unobtrusive can be a challenge in such a spacious, open room. But between our equipment, expertise and experience, we’re able to balance delivering the highest quality sound while preserving the venue’s dignified aesthetic.

Blue Martini Party, 2011

Another year has gone by, and once again the Blue Martini Party was the place to be for Washington, DC’s wedding professionals! It was our 4th year and the event is growing every year!

All the stars of the DC wedding industry came out to enjoy great conversation, the Willard’s famous hospitality, and, of course, blue martinis. The Willard is always a fantastic place, but DC Rental outdid themselves this year with the furniture and décor. Lucky for us, wonderfully fab Kelsey Thompson Photography shot the whole evening and created the great slideshow below so we could share it with you!

Thanks to everyone for coming and for making 2011 so great. Here’s to another marvelous year!

Wedding at Potomac Point Winery – Chelsea and Nick

You know a wedding is going to be fun when it’s at a winery, and Chelsea and Nick’s wedding was no exception!

After their ceremony at Aquia Episcopal Church, the newlyweds and their guests headed to Potomac Point Winery in Stafford County, Virginia, where they wasted no time starting the celebration.

Everyone got excited when the wedding party was announced to “I Gotta Feeling” and “Party Like a Rock Star.” Then, when Chelsea and Nick took the floor as husband and wife to Michael Buble’s “Crazy Love,” the happy energy in the room went through the roof!

Chelsea and Nick’s photographer, Genevieve Leiper, was fantastic – as you can see from the pictures, every awesome moment was documented. She even caught Chelsea, a Redskins cheerleader, in a move that looks like something we’ve seen during a game!

The dancing didn’t stop all night – especially during the 20 minutes of Polka when everyone showed off their fancy footwork.
